Prior to joining the securities industry in 2000, James served 22 years as a U.S. Marine. During his career James was deployed to over a dozen countries, including tours working with the Commander-In-Chief of the Pacific and NATO at their Northern European Headquarters in Norway.
As an investor, exposure to such diverse international arenas helped shape his perspective on the interconnected nature of global markets, investing and risk management. After retiring from the Marines, James worked as an advisor, trainer, and coach for Merrill Lynch, followed by six years at Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) and over 10 years with Ameriprise Financial.
James holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from Hawaii Pacific University and is a graduate of the College of Financial Planning. When not studying financial markets and stock trends James enjoys spending time with his teenage children, personal development and foreign travel.
